How long does onboarding take?

Onboarding can be as fast as about a week; most customers are live within a few weeks. The timeline depends on your ERP, number of cards, and how quickly your team can attend training.

Typical timeline

Onboarding can be as fast as about a week, and most customers are fully live within a few weeks of kickoff. The exact timeline depends on a few factors specific to your setup. A typical path:

Kickoff and configuration

Your specialist meets with your team, reviews your ERP setup, and begins configuring your account. Card connections and user accounts are created here.

ERP integration and testing

Your accounting system is connected and your jobs, cost codes, and approval routing are validated. A small set of test transactions runs through the full workflow — using your real ERP and card data — so issues are caught before go-live.

Team training

Your team attends training — one session for cardholders and PMs, one for accounting/admins — each about 30–45 minutes with open Q&A. Sessions are live, with supplemental on-demand videos provided.

Go live

Your team begins processing real transactions. Your specialist stays with you through go-live, and you continue to have unlimited support afterward.

What can affect the timeline?

ERP setup

Integrations with Foundation, Viewpoint Vista, and Viewpoint Spectrum are straightforward, but custom setups or accounts using middleware may need extra coordination. Your specialist flags this early.

Number of cards and users

Larger teams with many cardholders, multiple approval layers, or complex job structures take a little longer to configure and train.

Your team's availability

The most common cause of delay is scheduling — the faster your team commits to training dates, the faster you go live.

What do I need to have ready?

  • Access credentials for your ERP

  • A list of employees who'll have Vergo cards, and their roles (Employee, PM, Admin)

  • The person who'll be your internal Vergo Admin

  • Your card account login credentials (Amex, Visa/Mastercard) for the connection step

Your specialist will let you know if anything else is needed for your setup.
